If you’re like most Canadians who fly regularly across the border for travel or business, you already know what to expect at airport security screening. Now, it’s even more convenient to get through the queue faster using a NEXUS card.
NEXUS cardholders can access a dedicated entrance allowing them to proceed directly to the front of the screening line resulting in shorter wait times at these airports:
- Calgary
- Edmonton
- Halifax
- Kelowna
- Moncton
- Montreal
- Ottawa
- Québec City
- Regina
- St. John’s
- Toronto Pearson
- Toronto City Centre
- Vancouver
- Winnipeg
NEXUS provides pre-approved, low-risk travelers with expedited customs and immigration processing when crossing the border between Canada and the United-States. Using a NEXUS card at security screening is an additional benefit for NEXUS members.
While you still have to undergo security screening, the NEXUS card can get you where you need to be faster. Family members or travel companions are not covered under one card only, so make sure that each member of your travel party has his or her own NEXUS card in advance to take advantage of this special screening queue.
Don’t have a NEXUS card?
Applying for NEXUS is completely voluntary and is as simple as submitting a completed registration form along with a $50 non-refundable processing fee to the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). If you meet the program requirements, and both Canada and the United States approve your membership, your card will be issued by the CBSA in 6-8 weeks and is valid for up to five years.
Why Wait?
Minimize your time in security screening by becoming a NEXUS cardholder today! Apply online at www.nexus.gc.ca or at a CBSA office located at a Canadian airport near you.
